My stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai was quite impressive. The location is perfect for business travelers, with easy access to nearby offices and stunning views of the skyline. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety, but I found the dining options and room service a bit on the pricey side. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, and I would definitely consider returning. 🌆🥐

Rooms

The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, providing excellent views of the vibrant cityscape. However, I did expect a Nespresso machine and better bath amenities to suit the local climate. Overall, it was well-designed and efficient.
Service
9.0
All staff members were friendly and courteous, showing professionalism throughout my stay. I appreciated the attention to detail, though some areas could benefit from a bit more training.
Location

The hotel's location in the heart of Lujiazui is unparalleled, with fantastic views and proximity to shopping and dining options. It was also convenient to reach the metro station, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and evening cocktails, although I found room service options too similar and a bit too pricey for the quality. The views during dinner were lovely, but I expected more variety in the cuisine.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were impressive, including a lovely swimming pool, steam room, and sauna, all of which I enjoyed. However, I found some aspects, like the pool's closing time, could be better managed for guests wanting to relax.

I had a fantastic view of the Shanghai skyline from my room on the 83rd floor. The location was perfect, right next to the IFC mall, which offered great dining options. However, the check-in process was a bit confusing, and the room service could use some improvement. Overall, a good stay but with some room for growth.

Dining options were a mixed bag; the buffet was a bit disappointing with limited choices and not very hot food.

My stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai was nice for its stunning views and excellent location, perched in the heart of Lujiazui. However, I faced some challenges with communication and service during my visit which made the experience a bit frustrating at times.

Rooms
7.0
My King Room was spacious and offered an very nice view of the Bund and the city skyline, making it a pleasure to unwind in. The decor was modern, contributing to a comfortable atmosphere. Some aspects seemed a bit dated, which I found odd for such a high-end hotel.
Service
6.0
While some staff were friendly and helpful, there were moments when they seemed overwhelmed. I encountered a chaotic check-in process and the room service did not meet my expectations, as my order was incorrect and came late. Additionally, I had trouble finding assistance regarding local dining options.
Location
8.0
The location is excellent, right in Lujiazui near the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower and Jin Mao Tower. It’s perfect if you want to explore the financial district, but keep in mind that options for late-night food are limited nearby.
Dining
6.0
The dining options were somewhat adequate but could benefit from more variety considering the price point. Breakfast was nice but not really good. They seemed to cater more towards Asian cuisines, which was a bit of a miss for me.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offers a range of facilities, including a lovely swimming pool with a sauna, steam room, and impressive jacuzzi. However, I felt some services could have been more efficient. The skywalk and observation deck provide unbeatable views that were definitely a highlight of my stay.

I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai and had mixed experiences. The views from the room were lovely, and the location is excellent, but service was inconsistent, and the amenities could use improvement. Overall, while the room provided comfort, certain aspects fell short of expectations.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and comfortable, offering excellent views of the city, including the Bund and the Shanghai tower. However, I noticed that bed linens were not changed daily, and toiletries were not replenished regularly, which was concerning given we had a baby with us.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly and accommodating, I encountered issues with service quality. The check-in process was frustrating, and there were noticeable staff shortages, which affected the level of assistance provided during my stay.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location in the Pudong district is a major highlight, with easy access to shopping and business areas. The stunning views from the lobby and room were a treat, but finding late-night dining options was quite challenging.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were somewhat limited, as the offerings felt predominantly Chinese and lacked variety. I believe introducing more international cuisine would enhance the overall dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities included a business center and room service, but I felt the business center was small and outdated. Additionally, assistance with transportation was lacking, as I did not find any staff available to help with taxis.

I had a great stay at Grand Hyatt Shanghai, with clean rooms and fantastic city views. The location is super convenient, close to the metro and shopping malls. However, I did find a few language barriers with the staff, which made ordering some things a bit frustrating. Overall, it was a solid experience, but there’s room for improvement in service.

Rooms

The Grand Queen Room with River View was comfortable and provided an excellent view of the city. However, I did notice some wear and tear that could use a refresh.
Service

While the concierge was helpful, many staff members struggled with English communication, which created some frustrating moments during my stay.
Location

The hotel’s central location is really great, making it easy to get around Shanghai, even though getting to the metro involves a bit of a walk.
Dining

Breakfast had a good variety, but I found the options lacking for Western tastes. The dining area with a view was nice, though.
Facilities

The facilities were great, with a well-equipped gym and easy access to a convenience store for quick snacks. Everything I needed was at hand.
